Community Fundraising

You can make a difference and help improve the lives of LGBT Queenslanders by hosting your own fundraising event.  Get your friends together for a fun, social occasion and fundraise at the same time.

There are several ways you can fundraise, a few ideas follow:

  • Host your own trivia night, and get friends to pay an entry fee and offer small prizes like a bottle of wine
  • Host a dinner party for friends and ask them to make a donation instead of bringing a bottle of wine.  Even better, theme the evening and get everyone to dress accordingly for a bit of extra fun.
  • Host your own movie night and ask friends to make a donation
  • Host your own games night asking for a donation to play
  • Get involved with QAHC current fundraising initiatives like raffles and sell them on behalf of QAHC to your social networks
  • Organise your own major fundraising event like a gala dinner or ball, or dance party, or bingo night etc.

You may want to fundraise for a specific purpose (e.g. Lesbian Health Initiatives, or Ageing Action Group), or you may want to fundraise for QAHC and we’ll put your fundraising efforts to its best use.

QAHC needs to know prior to any advertised event how money is being raised and what the event is.  For more information, or to discuss your idea and find out how QAHC can assist you, contact the Fundraising Coordinator, Jason Russo on 07 3017 1728 or email jrusso@qahc.org.au.
