What’s the Difference: Health Issues of Major Concern to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) Victorians 2003This report identifies the specific health concerns and patterns of health outcomes for GLBTI people in Victoria. The report is the first of its kind to be produced within Australia, providing a framework for understanding the health and illness patterns specific to GLBTI people generally as well as an outline of the current health status of GLBTI Victorians. The papers represent an invaluable research tool for anyone concerned with understanding the health effects of sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination and with improving the health and wellbeing of GLBTI people. The study explores the impact of homophobia, discrimination, family and community connection on health and wellbeing of GLBTI people.
