QAHC will be holding a health retreat for gay and other men who have sex with men, at the Scenic Rim on 26-28^th of November. We’ve booked the whole 50 beds at a camp surrounded by beautiful country-side to give us a space to unwind, engage in some activities like; canoeing, bush walking and explore some of the health issues specific to gay men in a safe environment, enjoy good food and make friends with other gay men from the area. During the retreat we’ll have time to explore some issues important to gay men around relationships. There will also be time to share our experiences, concerns and hopes with others, relax and enjoy the beautiful location.

The retreat will cost $100 per person ($80 concession for Health Care Card holders) and includes accommodation for the two nights and all food and activities. Participants who cannot drive to the venue will have access to a bus leaving from the Brisbane QAHC Resource Centre and stopping at Ipswich along the way ($20 cost). The focus of this retreat is on developing new skills, sharing experiences, knowledge and relationships.
